Artistic ambition is in her blood; Her father is a musician songwriter and her mother is a painter and floral artist.  

Since early 2000, Melyssa’s creative energies have been focused on dance education and entertainment. Dance has touched her life like no other art form. Learning different styles of dance was easy since love and self expression fueled the progression.

As an efficient and eager learner, she has dedicated countless hours on training in styles such as salsa, merengue, bachata, cha cha, reggaeton, jazz, hip hop and samba.

In August of 2008, Melyssa co-founded the Latin-fusion dance troupe, P.O.S.E. which signifies Passion Obsession Salsa Expression. While offering workshops, classes and performances, P.O.S.E. has grown to service over 2,000 clients and counting by mainly word-of-mouth marketing. P.O.S.E. has also added event planning to their list of services and on December 31, 2011, they will launch their first annual Toronto Salsa Ball, an evening of elegance and mystery in downtown Toronto.  Productivity, integrity and dedication is the back bone to this company.
